Mrs Oluwafemi Mercy became a beneficiary on the 23rd of August 2023.She was six months pregnant when she was signed on the program.She had previously suffered a stillbirth at 9 months and had another stillbirth at 6 months.At the time VSF met her she was uncertain and afraid about how the outcome of the pregnancy will be because of her previous experiences.What we did for her was to councel her and reassured her that it was going to be a successful outcome. We advised her to stop working to reduce stress because she was also attending school at the time of the pregnancy. The foundation paid her medical expenses and she also received feeding allowance bi monthly. Few days to her EDD while writing her exam she fell into labour and was rushed to the hospital. By midnight she delivered a baby girl.It was indeed a fullfiling moment for both the parents and the VSF team.The Christening of the baby was done at her school residence because the mother continued with her exams after delivery.
